Welcome to all the SCUM Juniors and their parents out there supporting this fantastic Club.  The  Executive is in the process of establishing a Junior Development Program aimed at growing junior participation in the club as well as improving riding skills across the variety of age groups.

The Club currently offers free race entry to Juniors at all SCUM Cross Country (XC) and Endurance events and will continue to develope other initiatives over time.

A recent initiative was to enter a Juniors team in the Scott 24hr Mountain Bike Championships, held at Mt Stromlo, ACT.

There are future plans to conduct training days.  These will cover basic bike setup, fitness, nutrition, race craft and safety.

Over the coming months we plan to bring you more "Junior" specific content on the SCUM web site.  Some of the new content will include;

            * A News page for Junior riders to submit race results and Junior specific news items.
            * A Race Report page for Junior riders to submit individual race reports.
            * A Special Events page for details on upcoming events for Juniors.
            * A Training page with info on external courses and upcoming Club training days.
            * A Links page for Junior specific links
            * A Race Info page to help those new to the sport get an insight in to the "how, where and what"         happenings of a typical SCUM race day.

Juniors, if you have competed in any recent MTB event and are keen to let everyone know how you went, then please drop the web coordinator a paragraph or two about the event and it will be added to the news/race report pages.

Lastly, don't forget we are a relatively small Club and rely heavily on individuals volunteering their own time to make things happen.  So, if you are interested in helping us grow our Junior Development Program please contact either the Club President or Secretary, remember "many hands make light work".
